Vacuum Metalizing is the process of evaporating metals (most commonly aluminum) inside a vacuum chamber which then bonds to the desired substrate to achieve a uniform metalized layer.
Thermal evaporation, otherwise known, as vacuum metalizing, is the most common PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) process used to apply metal alloys under vacuum.
Vacuum metalizing has many uses including; EMI/RFI shielding, decorative chrome and metallic finishes, highly reflective coatings for light reflectors, heat shielding, vapor barriers, and more.
Xiangtan Hondson Coating Technology Co., Ltd. uses base and top coats that are automotive quality coatings. The second surface vacuum metalizing process involves depositing the evaporated metal on a clear substrate (glass or clear plastic) and back coating the metal with an opaque paint. This process has been used to decorate automotive emblems for exterior applications.

In order to obtain good and strong coatings, pretreatment for the plastic substrates is necessary. We will apply the base varnish as a base before vacuum metallization.
UV painting is an alternative way to apply the base and you will get the best quality of coatings in this way. Aluminum coatings which is made by vacuum metallizing is not strong enough so we have to apply the protective topcoat. Then it will be the topcoat to contact the air and keep the vacuum metallized film inside, remain nice and long time.

1. The inner packing is protective plastic film to protect the PVD machine from moisture and rain.
2. The out packing is plywood plate with steel to keep the PVD machine in good condition during the long distance transportation.
After the customer tested the PVD coating machine and make sure the machine is no problem, we will take the machine apart. The solid packing can make sure you will receive a machine without any destroy.
