The position of sputtering cathodes can be placed in the central, at one side of the wall of vacuum chamber, or even at the door. The cathodes are easy to be removed. You can replace the material easy and fast.
The working temperature of the magnetron sputtering coating process is up to 500 Celsius, in order to heating up the vacuum chamber evenly and keep the temperature uniform, the heaters are made in long and curved type, and they will be distributed on the wall of vacuum chamber.

The common applications |
The common coatings deposited are Titanium Nitride (TiN), Titanium CarboNitride (TiCN), Chromium Nitride (CrN) and Aluminium Titanium Nitride (AlTiN), etc.
Magnetron sputtering is one of the most functional technique in PVD area. There are DC magnetron sputtering and MF(medium frequency)magnetron sputtering. DC sputtering is usually used for direct sputtering, during this process, there will only involves the argon gas to improve the ionization of metal target(we call the raw material as a "target').
Magnetron sputtering is also involved in technical coatings for tools, molds, and punches. The ions made by sputtering is fine. It can be made upon the coating layers made by cathodic arc deposition technique.
