Roots Vacuum pumps,often referred to as mechanical boost pumps,are ideal for evacuating gas from sealed containers.being unable to compress against atmospheric pressure.Roots pumps are normally used in combination with backing pumps such as rotary vane pumps,liquid ring pumps and oil-sealed rotary piston vacuum pumps.They find wide application in the fields of metallurgy,chemical industry,electronics and textile,etc.
Design features:
The pumped gas is delivered from top to bottom vertically.
High pumping speed in a wide pressure range.

Insensitive to dust and water vapour contained in gas.
Oil-free pump chamber helpful for obtaining clean vacuum.

Backing pumps should be used.
It is suggested to equip a fiter at the in let if the gas to be pumped contains solid particles.
